Scientific Instruments
We supply a range of Oregon
Scientific products including digital weather stations for home use and the
ever popular Oregon projection alarm clocks.
Oregon Scientific started in 1989 in
the US with these products and the weather stations and projection alarm
clocks have been at the core of their business ever since.
Oregon Scientific started
in Portland and is now Global With the UK market being very weather obsessed
they have done very well with digital weather stations.
Oregon weather stations fit most budgets starting at under £30 and going
up to over £300 for the more advanced. For example the entry level BAR626
station
offers weather prediction via Oregon's digital technology. Using easy to
read weather icons the station displays a weather prediction for the coming
12/24 hours, not bad for the price
At the other end of the
spectrum Oregon Scientific offer the WMR928 Professional weather station with lots more
instruments for the weather enthusiast. As well as wireless temperature
and humidity sensors it comes with an anemometer allowing you to record wind
speed and wind direction and a rain gauge that allows you to measure the daily
rain fall. It even empties itself.
Projection alarm clocks are
not only great fun but really are a great idea. Oregon scientific have a
wide range of projection clocks that allow you to project the time onto the
ceiling or wall at the touch of a button. Some can project all the time
while others only for a short period when you press the button. Most
Oregon Scientific clocks are also radio controlled meaning they synchronies themselves
with the Rugby transmission so they are always right and even adjust themselves
forwards and backwards one hour at the appropriate times each year.
Oregon Scientific
instruments is now owned by the parent company IDT international and is set to
move into other electronic markets such as with oregon digital cameras and
using scientific advances in heart rate monitoring.
